Mysore practice 10/11/19

Today was a good day. My practice felt really nice compare to Friday. Though my body was not so warm until about bujapidasana. What’s happening?? When I arrived at the Shala, Anne, Lynne and Adriana were practising. I placed my mat on my usual spot and sat for 1 min. In my utthita hasta padangusthasana, Adriana helped me. It felt different from Anne. I felt more stable and my legs were higher up. Today’s purvattanasana felt not good so I took short breaths. Jumping back and through felt lighter than usual today. Navasana was okay. Bujapidasana was super good. I stayed very long (according to my own standard) in titibasana in transition. I felt empowered! I didn’t touch the mat with my feet and jumping back and landing was smooth. Anne helped me in supta kurmasana. It was really nice as usual. I stayed in titibasana also for longer than usual and my transition felt super good. I just need to work more on squeezing and lifting my bandhas in transition. I used water in my garba pindasana. I normally don’t use it but once Lynne told me to use to have my hands closer to face. Water definitely helps. My rolling was not so good though. In Buddha konasana Anne came and helped me go deeper. I really like this adjustment. Her knees on my upper legs and pushing my body down. Rolling up in supta konasana, ubhaya padangusthasana and urdhva mukha paschimattanasana were good today. I didn’t feel good around my neck so my setu bandhasana was very short. Pashasana was done with Anne’s help. I think I am kind of getting better but it’s still far far far away to have my heels down…! Krounchasana was same but my shalabasana felt quite deep. Anne squeezed my legs together and I could hold my upper body higher up. It felt so amazing. When I was in preparation for urdhva dhanurasana, Anne told me I would do the next pose. She told me to come to down dog and move onto next pose, bhekasana. Wow.. this was weird. I immediately felt that I have to work more on my shoulders now…! Holding one foot was okay but both feet… will be challenging. This reminds me to read books about this pose. After this I did back bending. I could lift myself up from the 3rd back bend. Drop back and Come up was surprisingly steady today. I didn’t waste time in between and kept going on. My feet were always firmly grounded (yay!). Half roll and drop back was little bit hard as I couldn’t really walk my fingers closer to my feet. But I was happy that I didn’t spring forward this time. Anne gave me a good push in paschimattanasana. Shoulder stand sequence was same as usual. My sirsasana and half bend were also same. Utplitih felt relatively light today so I held my knees a bit higher up. It was a very good practice today and I took a 7 min savasana, feeling grateful and content.
